Practice Description - My mediation practice focuses on the following types of cases:

Personal Injury - including Motor Vehicle Accidents, Occupier's Liability, Product Liability

Employment law - including Wrongful Dismissal and Human Rights matters

Insurance - including Long Term Disability, Life, Property, Fire, Marine, and Transportation claims

Professional Negligence - including claims against Real Estate Agents, Insurance Brokers, Medical Professionals

Commercial Litigation - including business disputes, real estate disputes
Background - I have Mediated for the past 7 years and I have practised litigation for over 27 years (both plaintiff and defence) in the areas of: personal injury, wrongful dismissal, insurance claims (disability, life, transportation, property), professional negligence and commercial litigation. This broad spectrum of litigation experience has prepared me well to understand the issues and the challenges in reaching a settlement of a case.

Fees - My rates are: $1,600.00 for a half-day mediation and $2,800.00 for a full day mediation - plus disbursements and HST (including preparation and travel within the GTA, Hamilton and Kitchener/Waterloo). I conduct mediations via Zoom, or at an agreed location (subject to health restrictions), including your offices. I also offer a limited number of half-day mediations at roster rates for mandatory mediations, upon request. All roster rate mediations are conducted via Zoom. Please contact for availability.

During the COVID-19 pandemic some mediators may only be conducting mediations by video or telephone conference.

If you are seeking an “in person” mediation on a mediator's available date, you should discuss with that mediator whether s/he will conduct an “in person” mediation on that date.
