Background - Mark Hart has over 20 years of experience in alternative dispute resolution, as a mediator, workplace investigator and adjudicator, and over 30 years of experience dealing with human rights, employment and labour issues.

Most recently, Mark was a Vice-Chair at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario for 12 years from 2007 to 2019, where he conducted hundreds of mediations and hearings primarily in the employment and labour sectors.

He handled some of the most complex and challenging cases at the Tribunal in a timely and effective manner.

Prior to joining the Tribunal, Mark had a practice that included conducting internal human rights and workplace violence investigations for a broad spectrum of companies and organizations in various sectors.

Mark has spoken extensively on human rights, employment, mediation, and active adjudication issues, and has taught on these issues at Osgoode Hall Law School and the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators.

While in practice, Mark was regularly recognized on L’Expert as a leading practitioner in workplace human rights.
