Background - Jason was appointed to be a Vice Chair (Part time) of the Ontario Labour Relations Board in April, 2023.
Previously, Jason's legal practice focused on employment and labour law, acting for both employers and employees. For over 23 years Jason was a Law Society Certified Specialist in Labour Law until he retired from practice at Osler at the end of 2020. He was consistently identified in Chambers and Best Lawyers for his expertise. As counsel he resolved disputes concerning wrongful dismissal, human rights and discrimination, executive, share and incentive based compensation, business ownership, pension and benefits, regulated professionals, harassment and constructive dismissal. Jason has written extensively, taught at Law School at the Masters level, and successfully argued cases at all levels of the courts up to and including the Supreme Court of Canada. Jason acted for clients in the private and public sectors throughout Canada including in financial services, technology, natural resources, transportation and logistics, retail, energy, professional services and regulated professionals.
