Background - Ella Forbes-Chilibeck brings an uncommon combination of legal depth and therapeutic skill to employment mediation. Before practicing law, she worked as a therapist and cognitive behavioural specialist — a background that sharpens her ability to read what parties need, not just what they're asking for. She has 20 years of experience as employment counsel representing both employees and employers before Ontario and federal courts, human rights tribunals, labour boards, and the WSIAT. She has served as Chief Negotiator in collective bargaining and as a certified workplace investigator in complex harassment and discrimination matters. She is a graduate of Harvard Law School's Intensive Mediation program, holds a UBC Certificate in Organizational Coaching, and is a Qualified Mediator with the ADR Institute of Canada. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association, and coached negotiation and ADR skills at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law for over a decade and more recently with the ADR Institute of Ontario.
