| Practice Description - | Anne is a Tribunal Member for the Condominium Authority Tribunal. She is an experienced online adjudicator and mediator. Anne provides expertise and practical solutions to parties and their counsel. She achieves effective and durable resolution of disputes. Anne has worked with landlords to negotiate commercial leases and can assist in resolving leasing disputes. She has worked in-house for a construction developer, and knows the challenges arising from contentious matters between contractors, tradesmen and owners. Anne understands the complexity of condominium living and the difficulty that parties face. She is available to mediate commercial leasing disputes and contract disputes. Anne works to facilitate communication between opposing interests and leads people towards realistic and unified goals. As an accomplished skills trainer and presenter, Anne develops and delivers workshops on conflict management strategies, team building, and diversity. |
| Background - | Anne is Member of the Board of Directors of the Society of Adjudicators and Regulators (SOAR) and serves on the committee for Public Interest and Innovation. Anne is an Honorary Chair of the National CBA ADR Section and a past member of OBA Council. She is a former Chair of both the CBA and the OBA ADR Sections and has served as Newsletter Editor for various OBA and CBA sections. Anne was a Director of the ADR Institute of Canada, and the ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO) and served on ADRIO's Regulatory and Education Committees. Anne served on the Board of Advisors of LegalLine. Anne obtained her Master of Laws in ADR from Osgoode Hall Law School. She was trained as a mediator and negotiator at the Program on Negotiation, Harvard Law School and at CDR Associates in Boulder, Colorado. She served as an Instructor for the Law Society Professional Responsibility Program and has taught Negotiation, Interviewing Skills, Business Law and sat on the Examination Committee for Business Law for the Bar Admission Course. Due to her extensive knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, and her effective settlement rate, Anne was selected to conduct pre-trials under the Simplified Rules for the Backlog Elimination Project in Toronto. |
