Practice Description -	I am a full-time mediator/arbitrator. My practice includes mediation, arbitration and med-arbitration in labour relations, employment, and various related disputes such as human rights disputes, workers' compensation, group and individual disability claims, pension issues and tort actions. My mediations often are multiple party matters involving complex legal issues. I view my role as assisting the parties in arriving at their solution rather than imposing my view of the "correct" solution.
Background -	From 2000 to 2003, I was a full-time vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Since 2003, I have been a part-time vice-chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Prior to joining the Board, I was a partner at Hicks Morley practising in the areas of labour and employment law. I am currently the editor of the OBA Labour Law Section Newsletter and have participated actively in continuing legal education including acting as a mediator for the Advocates' Society in "Advocacy in a Mediation".
