Background - Ms. Wacyk has been an adjudicator and mediator for more that 15 years and is currently a member of the following panels: Ontario Labour Relations Board, Grievance Settlement Board, Labour Canada's List of Approved Arbitrators; Canada Revenue Agency (Grievance Arbitrator); Hepatitis C Settlement Agreement Panel (Arbitrator/Referee).

Ms. Wacyk has adjudicated and/or mediated in the areas of wrongful dismissal, personal injury, contractual disputes, various heads of tort, grievances under a collective agreement, employment standards, occupational health and safety, workers' compensation, and human rights.

As an adjunct faculty member, Ms. Wacyk has taught both the introductory level as well as the advanced ADR course at the University of Toronto Law School. She has also taught ADR as a sessional lecturer at Queen's University Law School; Tribunal Decision-Making to members of the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunal; Adjudicative Skills for the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators; Decision Writing Skills to the Board for Referees for Employment Insurance; and, Negotiation Skills in the Bar Admission Course.

Ms. Wacyk is the Past Chair of the Labour Relations Section of the Ontario Bar Association, and is a member of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators Association.

Prior to becoming an Adjudicator, Ms. Wacyk was in-house counsel, and then Director of Policy and Research, for the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
