Practice Description - Since her call to the Ontario Bar in 2002, Madeleine's practice has been restricted to matters related to the unionized and non-unionized relationship on behalf of both employers and employees. Included in the scope of her practice is advice and representation in relation to employment and labour law, human rights, and occupational health and safety.
Background - Madeleine has 20 years of employment and labour experience, on behalf of employers and employees. She has represented clients at all levels of court and tribunal and therefore understands the complexities of litigation and the benefit of mediation for the parties. Having attended on behalf of clients at mediation she also understands the particular stresses on the parties that litigation can create and acts to minimize those stresses for the parties. Prior to opening her own boutique law firm, Madeleine was a partner in the employment group at well-known international law firm. She has been regularly recognized in the Lexpert Directory and in Best Lawyers in Canada, has been an Acritas Star, and was named a 5-star safety lawyer by Occupational Health and Safety Magazine.
